The discussions centered around the pivotal role of CBG in India's energy transition
Indian Oil approved joint ventures with EverEnviro Resource Management Pvt Ltd and GPS Renewables Pvt Ltd for setting up compressed biogas plants
Sangrur Plant to reduce stubble burning of 40,000 – 45,000 acres of fields, translating into an annual reduction of 150,000 tons of CO2 emissions
The plant is proposed to utilize 100 tons per day of cow dung to produce biogas which can be utilized as automotive fuel
The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas also signed MoUs with Essar Capital Ltd., XEMX Projects, Knowledge Integration Services, and Global Green Growth Institute, Seoul to set up new CBG plants across the country
